Contest Entry for [link]

I made this while watching the Flyers defeat the Buffalo Sabres 5-2 in game 7 of the opening round of the playoffs!:w00t:
This wreck is done in paint, because Paint is easier to use (for me) while cursing at the tv, drinking :pepsi:, and eating spicy chicken.

Description:

The Iron Guppy is a mass produced rescue and salvage vessel of enormous size.

The lower front end of the ship opens up to swallow any salvage or vehicles in distress. Once inside the cavernous hull (75% of the front half of the Iron Guppy is the recovery area) a series of automated tethers secure any ships, vehicles, or debris.

In the case of this contest we'll strictly deal with rescue operations.

Once secured in the recovery area, transport tunnels are extended to the captive vessel. The tunnels are tracked so carts can ferry to and from the captive ship with speed.
These tunnels also carry connections for pumping in atmosphere to the captive ship.

At the same time automated scanners examine the captive ship, identifying the location of survivors and surveying any possible hazards (ie reactor leaks etc).

In the event the captive vessel is leaking fuel, radiation, or some other hazardous material/substance, automated drain tubes & tendrils can be employed to begin clean up and ejected into space OR converted into power for the Iron Guppy.

All rescued crew will be housed in the upper levels of the Iron Guppy.
Any injured crew can be carted directly to the medlab for treatment, also in the uppermost levels.

The Iron Guppy is a no-frills vehicle. The majority of the ship is the recovery area, the engines, and the fuel cells.
The crew quarters, medlab, cafeteria, and command rooms are all located along the uppermost levels of the ship and are dull, cramped, and not built for pleasure or recreation.

A small shuttle bay is located just above the "mouth" area and a smaller emergency bay is located at the end of the ship's tail.

The dorsal fin is actually the transmissions/radar/galactic positioning array.
The caudal fins are cosmic/solar energy absorbers.

If you vote for me I will get this guy pregnant!
